Van Gogh Letters Project
![]()
The Van Gogh Museum and the Huygens Institute of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences have been conducting 15 years of research into the correspondence of Vincent van Gogh. In October 2009 this Van Gogh Letters Project is crowned by a special exhibition, the launch of a website encompassing the complete research results and the publication of a six volume book in three languages.
The Van Gogh Blog is initiated by the Van Gogh Museum to celebrate the completion of the Van Gogh Letters Project. The blog is developed by Antenna Audio and Van Gogh Museum, with the financial support of the Mondriaan Foundation.
All excerpts are from the website www.vangoghletters.org, Dutch translations from the six-volume book edition Vincent van Gogh – De brieven. The book edition is also available in English and French via www.vangoghmuseumshop.com.

I think the museum is very interesting and I especially liked seeing the paintings that I have heard about! I liked the sunflowers and the bedroom the best and I also liked seeing all the letters from him to his brother Theo! Another thing that me and my sister both liked to see how he named all of his paintings…like the potato eaters( we both thought that, that was a good name) xxxxx
